In March 2019, the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery acquired Colonial Orthopaedics, a practice with locations in Colonial Heights, Emporia and Richmond.
Colonial’s providers represent nearly every subspecialty of orthopaedics, plus podiatry and pain management. With more than 25 years providing care in the area south of Richmond, this practice has built an excellent reputation amongst its patients and referring physicians.
This merger has created the opportunity for longstanding community physicians to work closely with academia and for VCU residents and fellows to expand their learning opportunities.
